Vermont Grabs First Win, Albany Moves Atop Standings

Through four games for some teams and three for others, there are no more winless teams nor a team that will go undefeated in conference play after Wednesday's action.

Colin McIntosh scored 15 of his 17 points in the second half as Vermont won its first league game of the year with a 70-56 victory over Boston University at Agganis Arena. Player and Defender of the Year Marqus Blakely tallied 15 off the bench for the Catamounts. John Holland had a game-high 19 for the Terriers.

Albany extended its win streak to three with a 72-66 win over instate-rival Binghamton. Anthony Raffa, the America East Rookie of the Week, had a game-high 21 points and Tim Ambrose added 20 for the Great Danes. D.J. Rivera paced the Bearcats with 16 points.

Hartford bounced back from a two-game losing skid with a 76-71 win over Maine. Jaret von Rosenberg contributed a season-high 26 points to go with five assists, while Malachi Peay had 17 off the bench for the Black Bears.

New Hampshire won its third game in its last four as Tyrece Gibbs matched his career high with 22 points to lead the Wildcats to a 65-47 win over UMBC. The Retrievers got 16 points and 9 rebounds from Darryl Proctor while Jay Greene scored 11 points and recorded 7 assists to reach the 600 assist mark for his career.
