Road Teams Victorious in Early Week Games

While home teams have won the majority of league games this season, Boston University and Stony Brook each posted road victories to start the week.

The Terriers rode a career-high 25 points from freshman Jake O'Brien to a 82-65 win at UMBC Monday night. UMBC came out on fire, jumping out to a 16-6 lead, but the Terriers bounced back with a 25-3 run, holding their opponent without a point for over 8 minutes. John Holland added 22 points, while Scott Brittain had 16 and was a perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw line. Darryl Proctor scored a game-high 18 points for the Retrievers, while Jay Greene had 17 and 5 assists.

The Seawolves earned their league-best 8th road win of the season with a 70-59 victory at Maine Tuesday. SBU has won 4 of its last 5 league games after starting 1-4. Muhammad El-Amin poured in a game-high 22 points on 7-of-11 shooting. Demetrius Young continued to be a spark off the bench with 17 points and 6 boards. Sean McNally had a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Black Bears, while Gerald McLemore added 14.
